Globalization Debate In the 1990’s Argentina was considered globalization’s model of economic success. But in 2001, unbalanced fiscal budget, high foreign debt levels, and an uncompetitive currency level increasingly strained the economic system. Since the crisis, the banking sector has yet to regain the confidence of the public and a weak currency has made it expensive to purchase has made it expensive to purchase imported goods or travel abroad. Even after the crisis the Argentines have not turned against globalization. But in the era of globalization they know that it is important for government policy to be consistent in order to be successful, at this time their government policies are changing with every change of president, so they don’t feel they could be successful with globalization. Globalization will have a big effect on the local businesses in Argentina. The small businesses will be competing against each other, but the presence of national businesses will make the small businesses suffer. Because they wont be able to compete with the bigger
