MIS380/MBA665 Second Semester 2013-2014 Exercise #1 You are to complete the practice exercise from the Visio lab. This assignment asks you to draw Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and provides a hands-on way to introduce some process-modeling concepts to you. You should complete three DFDs from this exercise: a context diagram, a level-0 diagram (of the major processes in the system), and a level-1 diagram of process 4.0 (i.e., a decomposition of one major process). The purpose of this assignment is to help you become familiar with using Visio for drawing DFDs. As part of that, you should explore how well Visio provides documentation beyond what is shown on the diagrams. You should submit for grading: 1. a printout of the context, level-0, and level-1 diagrams. 2. a “repository report” with relevant information about the elements (i.e., the processes, data flows, data stores, and external entities) of the DFDs. See the NED Data Dictionary (retrieved January 25, 2010, from

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
