GS1145 Strategies Unit 2 Assignment 2 New Tech Daniel Shaw (Tuesday Class) Introduction I choose to talk about the technology of the mobile phone. It impacts all of our lives every day from making a phone call to looking up directions while on the go. One nowadays can even send a person a text message or even a file (picture, video, or music) from their phone. Phones have come a long way from when I was a child then they could only call and then cell phone were huge and cumbersome. Now they can fit in your pocket. Summary of Key Findings Before too long from now I can see the mobile phone or cell phone being able to read one’s mind. You probably thinking why one would want a phone to do this, and I would say to give those who can’t speak a voice of their own. The world is already on the cutting edge of this being done. Then from there the possibilities are endless. Imagine if you could use your phone to not only call someone but be able to have a video call with your cell phone. Now this is also already in the works but one day every phone in the

Imagine if you could video conference with an astronaut, a marine biologist, and a physicist all at the same time for a lecture on the global impact on pollution. Last but not least imagine of your phone could check your vitals, and call 911 for you. Then again the phone already has a GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) sensor in it to determine your exact location. One day they will be able to give your exact position down to a foot of where you are, but they are limited to around a close proximity of where you are. Conclusions But as with anything the government does there are groups that would stop this from happening citing that are trying to control us. These groups and limited funds can keep the cell phone company’s and the private citizens from getting the technology we need. The technology is there but private groups and the economy will keep this and other technology from us the ordinary people....
