A film's story-line is what happens in a film. In the text it states to think about the tale like a town and the story like the roads which lead you from one point to another (Goodykoontz, & Jacobs, 2011, sec. 2.3). Storytelling is usually the cooperation of several different people from the director to the actors, to the screenwriters, and several other people involved in the innovative process. The film Cast Away is a film which has a great deal of scenery and Tom Hank’s character is in an airplane crash and he is the sole survivor. He was a Fed-Ex worker and he had a lover performed by Bonnie Hunt. Tom had a locket having her photo in it and held it the whole time he was all alone on this isle. The film was in chronological sequence (Goodykoontz, & Jacobs, 2011, sec. 2.3); with some flashbacks of reminiscences he had, regarding life prior to plane crash. I believe the filmmakers intention was to demonstrate how difficult it's to live and how powerful human beings are. It's our nature as well as instinct to live. The film maker made it chronologically to make it simpler to go by, and I believe it assisted me enjoy the film since I didn't need to think about it. It was a film you can relax and see.
