DQ 1 One of the most common reasons for a student to plagiarize are feeling lost and not knowing the difference between quoting, summarizing or paraphrasing. Students may also decide to plagiarize because they are being treated unfairly. Another reason students plagiarize is that it is done unintentionally and they don't realize they are plagiarizing. I wish I had better understood how to cite sources and when they need to be cited. Unintentional plagiarism I think is the hardest one to accept. Many times you don't realize that you did anything wrong and the next thing you know you are facing possible suspension for unintentional acts. DQ 2 Some of the possible consequences for plagiarism are getting an F on the paper in which you plagiarized, getting an F in the entire course in which you plagiarized on an assignment, being suspended from school and having a hard time being accepted at another school. In the future, I will insert more citations into my work to ensure that I do not accidentally plagiarize something. I will also be using the plagiarism checker on every assignment that I write so that if I accidentally miss something the plagiarism checker will hopefully help me catch it prior to submitting an assignment.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
