The DJIA was invented by Charles Dow back in 1896. 1630 NASDAQ= Nasdaq stock market. Definition: The first electronic stock market listing over 5000 companies. The Nasdaq stock market comprises two separate markets, namely the Nasdaq National Market, which trades large, active securities and the Nasdaq Smallcap Market that trades emerging growth companies. Euro/Dollar exchange rate= A currency pair is the quotation of the relative value of a currency unit against the unit of another currency in the foreign exchange market. The quotation EUR/USD 1.40 means that 1 Euro is able to buy 1.40 USdollar. Cost of an ounce of gold= $1370 Cost of a barrel of oil = $97 Crude Oil (WTI) USD/b bl. $99.92 (can only be sold in USD) Crude Oil (Brent) USD/bbl. 107.08 The Budget Deficit – how much The federal budget deficit has fallen sharply during the past few years, and it is on a path to decline further this year and next year. CBO estimates that under current law, the deficit will total $514 billion in fiscal year 2014, compared with $1.4 trillion in 2009. How much has the deficit risen since Obama took off in 2008 Ethics = rules of behavior based on ideas about what is morally good and bad. ethics : an area of study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behavior Situational Ethics = a system of ethics by which acts are judged within their contexts instead of by categorical principles or the doctrine of flexibility in the application of moral laws according to circumstances. Economics = the science that deals with the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, or the material welfare of humankind. Unemployment rate = The unemployment rate is a measure of the prevalence of unemployment and it is calculated as a percentage by dividing the number of unemployed

Intrapreneur intrapreneur = a manager within a company who promotes innovative product development and marketing. Business Ownership: sole proprietorship, partnerships, corporations. Define each.
