Thursday, March 6, 2014 Blog Posts Recruiters Judge A Book By Its Cover, And You Do Too! Posted by Matthew Roelofs at Thursday, March 6, 2014 4:43:58 PM EST This article blatantly points out the fact that the way someone is dressed makes a big difference in how he or she is seen professionally. The article even argues that to judge other people based on appearance is normal for human beings to do. As shallow as that sounds, there is a reason why "business attire" is a common standard for dress codes in the workforce. The article highly suggests to dress to a person's strengths, or interject personality into what is being worn at the work place . For example, wearing a colorful tie can show off boldness and confidence, and wearing glasses can make you seem more intellectual. Lastly, it's important to come across as friendly, which includes appropriate LinkedIn pictures (where you are smiling, not frowning).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
