EXAM #___________ SEPULVEDA: FINAL, Spring 2011, Special Problems in Criminal Law & Procedure Pg. 2 of 3 ESSAY QUESTION Officer Doright was on patrol at approximately 5 a.m. when he received a call from dispatch indicating that they just received an anonymous 911 call indicating that the young female caller had been kidnapped and raped. The caller described the suspect as a white male, age 30-35 years, with a short beard and long brown hair, approximately 6’ tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds, and wearing dark pants and a brown jacket. The caller indicated that the suspect displayed a firearm during the incident and threatened to shoot her if she did not cooperate. She also indicated that the suspect had an unusual odor about him—he smelled of diesel fuel. She last saw the suspect when he dropped her off in the warehouse district at 5 th and Cannon Streets, approximately 15 minutes ago. She described the suspect vehicle as an older Toyota pickup truck, black in color, with no license plates, and with major damage along the right front door panel area.
