John Abrahamsson March 5, 2013 Prof. Jim Wilcox Debate 1 Texting while driving Although there are many people who say that texting while driving a car should  be forbidden, are there many of them who do it anyway. To lose concentration for just a  couple of seconds could be  a  matter of life and death. It does not have to be  a  driver who is  texting that is the danger itself, but a driver with his eyes on a screen is truly a blind driver and  may not react as quickly if something suddenly appears. The driver has an obligation to stay  focused and respect every life on the road. A text during a car drive is a complete violation to  that obligation and should be punished therefore.  Professor Jim Wilcox said to us, “texting while driving is like drunk driving.”  The truth is that a lot of research shows that it is true. To spend time reading or texting while
