4. Fluid Motion 3 4.1 Velocity Field The fluid motion can be described in terms of the velocity and acceleration of the fluid particles. 4. Fluid Motion 4 4.1 Velocity Field The fluid motion can be described in terms of the velocity and acceleration of the fluid particles. By writing the velocity for all the fluid particles, we can have the velocity field for that fluid: ? ± = ? ² = ? ³ = ? = ? ( ´ , µ , , · ) The velocity field describes the fluid velocity as a function of location (x,y,z) and time (t) .
