1) This is a 3 credit-hour course. That means you should be prepared to spend at least 3 hours
per week reading the chapters, reviewing the PowerPoints and (when appropriate) Podcasts,
contributing to our online discussions, progressing on your project, and doing any additional
activities (quizzes / cases) for the week. I expect you to check eCourseware a minimum of
twice weekly to look for news, participate in the discussions, and ask questions.
2) I am sincere in my solicitation of your feedback to improve this online course. I have standing
office hours from 10 – 12 Tu / Th when you can call, e-mail, or stop by my office and I’ll give
you an immediate response. If you e-mail me outside of those hours, I will get back to you
within 24 hours on weekdays and no later than Monday on weekends. I want you all to be
successful while learning the material. I can’t help you achieve success if I don’t understand
why you’re confused.
2 Class Structure:
1. There are three exams including the Final Exam. I will cover the exam’s expectations before it is
given. All assigned class material may be on the exams including the readings, lectures, peer
presentations, videos, and any guest speaker materials. Exams are cumulative in the sense that all of
