The program encourages the use of coal combustion products (CCPs), byproducts generated from coal-fired power plants. Business case: Companies can realize cost savings from avoiding coal ash and slag disposal, using CCPs in place of other, more costly materials, and by reaping byproduct revenues from the sale of CCPs.
