I
think
 her
approach
to
teaching
me
about
the
word
of
God
was
from
a
more
liberal
point
of
view.

I
 think
her
approach
allows
for
me
to
be
more
open
to
certain
issues,
like
gay
marriage,
that
 people
who
strictly
follow
the
Bible
are
not
open
to.

 The
most
disappointing
realization
I
came
to
about
myself
is
that
I
am
very
judgmental
 and
therefore
ethnocentric
in
thinking
my
culture
and
ways
of
life
are
better
than
others.

I
 judge
other
people
based
on
my
experiences
and
skills,
and
often
time
I
think
I
am
better
at
 things.

I
think
this
relates
to
the
United
States
culture.

People
of
the
United
States
strive
to
be
 the
best
at
everything,
so
people
try
to
reason
to
themselves
that
they
are
the
best.
The
United
 States
values
individualism
which
is
the
belief
that
everyone
is
in
control
of
his
or
her
success.

 Also
upon
my
reflection
I
determined
that
I
lack
diversity
in
my
relationships.

My
friends
are
 mostly
similar
to
me
in
age,
sexual
orientation,
race,
socioeconomic
status,
geographical
 location,
and
language.

Growing
up
I
thought
it
was
interesting
because
all
my
best
friends
and
 I
were
different,
but
the
only
difference
we
really
had
was
in
personal
interests
or
hobbies.

I
 think
due
to
my
geographic
location
growing
up
was
the
reason
why
I
lacked
diversity.

The
 main
population
was
Caucasian,
and
our
main
form
of
diversity
at
school
was
when...
