Pols 231W Political science is the study of politics, different forms of government, and the law. In addition, it is also the study of how certain political intuitions impact different societies. From both these studies, one would hope to learn of an effective way to govern a society, while having the most positive impact upon that society. I decided to become a political science major of several reasons. First, I have always had an interest in the law and the way the government works. Second, I find the competitiveness of politics to be very interesting. These two reasons have led me to become a political science major throughout all four years of my college career, as I will explain. I decided to become a political science major because I have always had an interest in the law, and the mechanics and inner-workings of different forms of government.
