- Muscling is highly variable o Among breeds o Among individuals - Accrues faster than bone - Inverse relationship with fat o Thin muscling 3:1 ratio with fat o Heavy muscling 5:1 ratio with fat - Double muscling = Hypertrophy o Piedmontese cow o Callipyge sheep Growth Implants - Commercial Products o Contain anabolic steroids Testosterone, estrogen, synthetics o Usually complements animals natural hormones o Often misused by body builders o Ex.
