Again, leader election doesn’t have to be perfect – since it doesn’t violate correctness to have two leaders. Another thing that can happen is the network becomes partially disconnected – e.g., A can talk to B and B can talk to C, but A can’t talk to C. Thus, A thinks C is down, and vice versa, but B thinks both A and C are up. This can lead to problems when choosing a leader, e.g., if both A and C think they should be the leader. Solution? Some careful coding!
