ABORTIONGeneral OverviewAs defined in the course textDoing Ethics, abortion is, “the deliberate termination of apregnancy by surgical or medical (with drugs) means” (Vaughn, 2016, p. 163). Abortion toucheson deep values and beliefs causing different opinions on the subject. Are the happiness, health,and mind of the mother or unborn more important?In the United States “nearly half of all pregnancies are unintended(more than 3 millionper year)” and “about 40 percent of unintended pregnancies end in abortion” (Vaughn, 2016, pg.164). Women choose this option for reasons such as young age, unstable financial status, incest,rape, unwanted pregnancy, etc. Behind each reason is a different set of morals for each person.Can abortion be wrong if it is the choice of humans with their own set of morals?One may argue that the unborn is a human life and taking a human life is wrong.Abortion is the taking of a human life.
