Free land in America Native people European colonists in America These two very different people Interact with each other •With this interaction of these two different people, came savagery and even war •There was assimilation between explorers and mountain men, trappers and settlers •When the Europeans came to America, they brought many diseases with them and spread them upon the native people, but likewise, many Europeans gave diseases to the native people •After their interaction, the Europeans started to adapt to life in this new land and started to take on the culture of the natives and become “Americanized” 1500 2007 Time
