1.06 Bone Model To receive the maximum score of 36 points on this assignment, there are 3 components you must complete. Please refer to the rubric on Page 6 of 1.06 to examine how each section will be scored by your instructor. 1) Bone Sketch: Before you build anything, you want to draw out a basic design of your bone. On Slide 2, you’ll see a sketch ready to label. 2) Option A: Build a 3-D Model: Choose a function of bone that you would like create. (Supporting weight, providing movement, OR protecting something soft). Using recyclable materials, build a model bone including as many parts of the bone as you can. Take a picture of your bone performing its picture and place it in slide 4. OR (DO NOT do both) Option B: Virtual Bone Model: Based on what you have learned, design a virtual bone model to include some parts and defining characteristics of bone tissue. Consider simple materials you would have used to build your actual model (i.e. newspaper, cardboard, tape, straws, etc.). Complete the chart on slides 5- 7 explaining why your chosen material represents the function of that bone tissue component.
3) Conclusion Questions: Complete the conclusion questions using complete sentences and with enough information to answer the entire question. See Slides 8-9
