The Columbian Exchange has done a lot to bring different products to different areas. In the five chapters used, the Columbian Exchange is used to make trade with other people in different areas. The Columbian Exchange had a lot of consequences because of the trade. With the exchange some trades brought upon many disasters to people in different. Innocent people like slaves in Africa were involved in this trade for manual labor, this wasn’t pleasant at all. The Columbus did originally started off to be a goodthing to help other places obtain new items. The coming of the Europeans brought much disaster to the Amerinds. When Columbus was traveling around the hemispheres, he landed in the Western Hemisphere, where he met nice people. I presented them with some red caps, and strings of beads to wear upon the neck and many other trifles of small value, wherewith they were much delighted and became wonderfully attached us. Afterwards they came swimming to the boats, bringing parrots, balls of cotton thread, javelins and many other things which they exchanged for articles we gave them, such as glass beads and hawk’s bells; which trade was carried on with the utmost good will” (Page 422).The Columbian Exchange brought the arrival of the Spanish brought more than a clash ofpeople and cultures to the Americans.
