I want to illustrate itsvalue as a progressive, avant-guard exhibit that embraces and promotes new artistic trends. APergoogle is a new emerging style of art. The pieces themselves are appropriations of famouspieces with humorous, intellectual and always creative intentions. When one types in Mona Lisait takes a couple pages of electronic sifting, to actually see Da Vinci’s original. The first couplepages are Pergoogles, illustrating the popularity of this new artistic trend. The initial value of aPergoogle exhibit would be a shift regarding how the viewer approaches the piece. In AmeliaJones’Every Man Knows Where and How Beauty Gives him Pleasure: Beauty Discourse and theLogic of Aestheticsshe explains the skewed lens we try to understand beauty through, “theprofound instability of beauty as a mode of appreciating objects and images” (Jones 1). Jonesgoes on to show how individuals perceive a thing is largely dependent upon the context they’regiven, due to beauty’s instable nature.
