It is often found at the end of the introduction section, immediately following the statement of the problem, and at the end of the literature review. You will know if it is a purpose statement if you can see phrases like “This aims to…” Purpose statement includes the study’s focus, the overall intent, the framework, the participants, and the setting which can be helpful as they can move the topic’s abstract. Research questions are statements used to narrow the purpose statement to specific questions. This question often addresses an issue or a problem, which, through analysis and interpretation of data, is answered in the study’s conclusion . In quantitative research, research questions focuses on small set of specific factors or variables and these variables are examined in a certain planned way while in qualitative research, it focuses on one single complex concept where it is explored in
