Govt 23011.There could be many arguments about the pros and cons of interest groups. Those who favor interest groups can argue that without interest groups there would be many people with common interest who would not be able to be represented by the government. Another benefit of having interest groups is that the more groups there are, the less chance of one big group dominating the system. There are also many people who do not favor interest groups, and arguethat these groups interfere with democracy because they only look for benefits for a small groupof people rather than the majority. Another argument is that these groups contribute money to a candidate, so the candidate is pressured to sway their opinion in the groups opinion as well.I would prefer a system with few interest groups.2.100 million is needed to raise just to make it to the primaries in the election. $300,000 a DAY is needed to raise.
