Management I Professor Stoner IP Team Analysis RTG SAFEWAY This semester brought a group of different individuals together to achieve the daunting task of informing a major supermarket company how to become a profitable business. This group had never heard of Safeway before and proceeded to analyze its problems and come up with a couple solutions to solve the problems. This brought out another problem: can a group of individuals become an effective business team? Let’s take a look if Meagan, Alyssa, Nick, Brad, Syed, and I succeeded. The group dynamic for RTG Safeway was very interesting. If I had to pick a leader in our group for the sake of naming a leader, it would probably be Syed only because he held the most background knowledge in the finance world and he had the loudest voice. Instead, the leadership role in our group was not absolute, but rather share throughout the group. This lead to collaborative decision-making along with a general feeling that all members were involved in the process rather than just two or three people.
