Christianity and Islam are the two most common religions found in our world today. Both religions are very different from each other, but at the same time, they share some similarities. Islam, meaning submission, or submission to the will of god is a monotheistic religion. A Muslim is one who will submit to the will of God. Islam was founded in 622 CE by Muhammad. According to the Qur’an, the holy book of Islam, all followers must believe in God, his revelations, angels, messengers and the Day of Judgment. The mosque is the worship center for Muslims. Muslims must live by the five pillars of Islam. Shahadah, meaning “I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Salah is the requirement to pray five times a day. Every time you pray you must face the Kaaba in Mecca. Zakah, the practice of the wealthy giving to the poor and needy. Sawm, ritual fasting during the month of Ramadan. Muslims must
