You must collect five current, preferably consecutive, editorials about your issue.Links to columnists and journalistic web sites are listed on Black Board. Check newspapers and websites every few days for editorials about your issue. The Assignment has three parts:1.Each article mustbe annotated thoroughlyfor the following:Headline, date, columnist, publicationSpeaker’s tone and possible tone shiftsRhetorical devices (esp. diction and syntax, repeated words, etc.)Organization and arrangement Appeals (name them and state why)ThesisAnnotate places in the text that invoke a reaction from you, be it laughter, confusion, anger, etc.Additional questions to ask yourself and to notate as you read:How does he/she open the editorial?
