Darrel88 / 2 Pharrel, Marcus' father, was the Chief neurosurgeon at a California hospital. He was known for his generosity and humor at work. He was neither quick to anger nor harsh, but always calm. Pharrel loved his wife, Zendaya sincerely but when Marcus was born instead of happiness, Pharrel turned out to be sad because she became psychopath out of blues after she gave birth to Marcus and made not to care less about him. Housekeepers were amazed at how rude Zendaya was when she gave birth to Marcus. Zendaya was a gentle woman and loved people even before she gave birth to Marcus they always feel free to interact with her. Pharrel, tried to talk to Zendaya if she had any problem that needs to be solved, but it turned out to be a quarrel. Because he loved Marcus, he decided to hire a nanny to raise Marcus. But as time went on Pharrel discovered his wife was suffering from personality disorder. Pharrel failed to understand how he did not notice or keenly observe anything strange about his wife. Pharrel had to take his wife to the hospital to find out if his wife's mental state had started recently or if it was a health problem that happens seasonally. But he was surprised when he was told by a doctor that the disease affects people at an early age but it is very difficult for anyone to be diagnosed, even many victims due to the condition are not fully aware of it. Pharrel was devastated but with his sincere love he volunteered to help his wife to cope with the situation. While under medication her condition improved and peace returned to normal. The incident made Marcus to stay away from his mother and he became afraid of her even by looking at her. Pharrel, did not know anything which means Marcus did not yet know how to speak words properly. After discovering that his nanny and father were his closest friends who would talk to him without intimidating him he became very fond of them. It became his custom to sit in front of the entrance to the big hall every evening waiting to meet his father whenever he arrived home. He valued his father so much because he taught him a lot and they would also play until he fell asleep in his arms. When Marcus was five years old, his nanny passed away, he felt like he had lost his mother. She cried and mourned the death of her nanny for a very long time. By the age of five, his relationship with his mother at home had deteriorated, which meant that Zendaya had no time for him. Instead of the nanny's death strengthening his relationship with his mother, he began to experience abuse from his mother. He fondly remembers a time when he was still five years old when his mother locked him in a house and strangled him with ropes. At the time, his father had traveled to Washington DC for two months. At home, he and his mother were left alone. But what he went through under his mother's care broke his heart. He lived in fear being away from
