Non-traditional advertisements are a great way to break through the clutter and would provide Gatorade the most bang for its buck. Strategic sponsorships and product placements will help grab the attention of the Generation Y and trigger a strong brand identity with Gatorade. Music Festivals: Music Festivals represent the closest thing Generation Y has to a business convention. They are the epitome of everything cool and hip, and offer the highest concentration of trendsetters to target. The life-outlook for most of these concertgoers hasn’t changed all too much since the 1960s. Peace and love, and an overall carefree state-of-mind is infectious and would be an excellent way to target people in a positive mood. While highly cynical to major corporations, most have a level of respect for those that understand them and give them a fair shake. This is why it would be good to have a reasonable amount of Gatorade freebies in accompany with the banners and main-screen commercials. Several large
