Little 1 Richard Little Mrs. Boyer English 160 11726 November 28, 2006 To: Campus Housing Resolution Campus housing has been struggling for years to encourage students to decide to live on campus. This common goal creates a community within Campus Housing to help reach its goal. The reason Campus Housing is trying to encourage students to stay on campus is to increase the schools total revenue. The more revenue that UIC would create the lower the rates for living on campus, this would create even more revenue because more students would be apt to stay if it were less expensive. The issue that Campus Housing is facing is that they are having trouble convincing enrolled students to stay on campus. This is such an important issue to UIC because the on campus residents are a major source of revenue for the school. Some of the major issues that Campus Housing is facing is that most students that attend UIC are commuters. The reason that most of these students are commuters is because they live within a Metra ticket away from the school. With the ability to attend UIC for seven thousand dollars less, most students do not even consider the possibility of staying on campus. Campus Housing needs to promote incentives to those students who are still deciding whether to live on campus to try and persuade them to spend that extra seven thousand dollars.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
