Experiment 4: Common Laboratory Measurements Temperature 1. I found Lithium Chloride (LiCl) and Calcium Chloride (CaCl 2 ) to be exothermic. I found Potassium Chloride (KCl) to be endothermic. These findings were consistent with the ΔH values for all the different salts. The LiCl had an initial temperature of 23.7°C and a final temperature of 25.62°C, which was an increase of 1.92°C. The CaCl 2 had an initial temperature of 24.32°C, and a final temperature of 28.2°C, which was an increase of 3.88°C. Both LiCl and CaCl 2 both gained heat and rose in temperature, which was indicative of being exothermic. The KCl had an initial temperature of 24.27°C, and a final temperature of 23.25°C, which was a decrease of 1.02°C. KCl had lost heat and had a decrease in temperature, which was indicative of being endothermic. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
