The Lady Knights started off the 2007-2008 season in dominating fashion, winning the first five
games to grab a 5-0 record, all while making opponents look as if they were still rusty from last
season.
But what goes up must come down.
Unable to keep up their momentum, the lady knights then went on to lose the next five games,
before finally ending the losing streak with a 3-0 win against Merrimack College on Sept. 22.
Despite the shaky start to the season, new recruit Enobong Shammah and junior blocker Natalie
Edward have been on fire since day one. Shammah is currently averaging 3.78 kills per game,
while Edward’s has been averaging 3.15 kills per game. In recognition of her outstanding play,
Mrs. Shammah was named the ECC co-player of the week for the week of Sept.5-11.
The Lady Knights’ roll began in the first game of the season where they routed Post University,
30-17, 30-23, and 30-24 in 3 games. Showing signs of brilliance, Enobong Shammah led all
scorers with 16 kills while adding 3 blocks. Marianna Megas also dished out 25 assists to help
