Joshua Pinero 12/10/07 Eng. 28 Why I Still Want a Wife Judy Brady writes in her essay, “Why I Still Want a Wife” about her desire to have a partner that will take on all the duties that a wife does. Brady suggests that the things a wife would do would make everybody want one, due to the fact that everything they do would cater directly or indirectly to the person who is with that wife. I do not fully agree with Brady, because the duties that the wife would do, on some points would make sense, but she assumes that the wife she wants is a perfect one, who would ideally do everything she wants, in order to satisfy her needs and wishes. In a sense, Brady is asking too much for a person to take. In her narrative, Judy Brady talks about the time that she had lost her husband. In response to that event, she then expresses the need to have a wife. Brady comprehensively lists the reasons describing the things that the wife should do for her. In general, she wants a wife
