Maria del Carmen Urias PSY215 04/29/2021 Self-Analysis In our young generation of today, a more open and explicit sexual behavior is beginning to be perceived and with fewer taboos or censorship, however, there is people (mostly parents) that try to stop this manifestation of sexuality under the justification of wanting their young people to act the best way, but they do not try to provide them with appropriate sexual education, they even refuse to talk about sexuality with them, it is clear that nobody can talk about something they do not know, or just don’t find a way to understand it. While I was growing up, I learned about sexual education in school, my parents did not feel comfortable talking about sexual relationships with me. Even now, talking about my sexual relationships has always been a difficult topic to talk about with my parents. When I had “the talk” with my parents, they talked about menstruation and unwanted pregnancies, but they never talked openly about masturbation, porn, intercourse or other ways to protect myself from STD’s, I learned everything by myself based on my own experiences.
