Searching the Online Catalog To find a book in the Albertsons Library online catalog (also known as WorldCat), use the search box for books on the library’s homepage (Figure 1). Figure 1 The catalog can actually be used to find both print and some electronic (or digital) materials that the library owns. The “ALL” search box will retrieve results that include multiple types of material, including books (print and electronic), a select set of magazine and journal articles (see Unit 3 for better methods of finding articles), and audio/video recordings. The format type will be listed under the title in the results list. Searching using the BOOKS tab on the library’s homepage will get rid of most of these categories. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
