Analysis: 1. After the switch in the circuit shown in Figure 1 has been closed for a long time, what is the voltage across the capacitor C1 and how much charge, Q, has been stored on it? 2. What is the state of the LED D1 (glowing or off)? 3. Using a graphing program of your choice (e.g., Excel or MATLAB), plot the current response of the circuit after the switch has been opened. For now, assume that the resistance of the LED is about 150 Ω. 4. If we assume that the LED will be invisible if the current through it is less that 1 mA, based on the data in step 3, approximately how long will it take the LED to extinguish after the switch has been opened?
