Deviant Careers  06/12/2007 15:04:00 DEVIANT CAREERS 6 Themes in literature on deviant careers     - Entering Deviance:  why/how it is people enter deviance, area that has the  most written about. The most interesting to people. Easy data to get  - Training and socialization:  has the least written about it, loner deviance,  collegues/ peer socialize each other to the deviant subculture. They possibly train each  other at this level, people work together in a team, have to rely more on participant  participation, fairly dangerous, the fascisnating/ intresesting stuff - How does their experience evolve over time:  very important to understand  deviance,  Exiting Deviance:  2 nd  policy interest, very little research on it, very important for  us to understand how and why this works. Politics - Post Deviance:  see very little written about, there is another whole phase of
