Safat Chowdhury Prof. Singletary Speech 111/A Self Evaluation for Informative speech Although i was giving an informative speech, I was not as nervous as i was when i gave my demonstrative speech. I felt this way because I had practiced a few times, and I had given a few speeches in class already. My nervousness decreased as I gave more and more speeches. My topic for my informative speech was on the liberation war of Bangladesh. I introduced the topic by stating my roots, where Bangladesh is, the main ideas of the events that occurred, followed by my personal anecdote and a quote. I stated the causes of the war, the war itself, and when Bangladesh achieved its victory in chronological order. However, there were many strong and weak points that my speech had. One strong point my speech had was my volume. I felt that i spoke loud enough for the class to hear even if there were construction sounds going on. I also felt technical stuff such as my posture, hands on my side, and eye contact was excellent. I tried my best to give eye contact to the class equally,
