Slave Trade Imagine if you were taken from your family, friends and home and you were put to work for a plantation for the rest of your life. Wouldn’t it be terrible? This is what happened to Africans during the middle passage. During the middle passage 10 to 12 million Africans were taken to America and were treated harshly and tons of them died on the way. Slave trade should be abolished because it is cruel, rude and racist and nobody would want to be treated like that. To begin, Africans weren’t taken by the British or colonists or anything like that, they were taken by rival African tribes that were bribed by the British or other colonists. They were then taken to British ships and then they were shipped to America. Next, when Africans were loaded on ships they were loaded into the max capacity possible. There was no room and you would always be touching someone else you don’t know.
