The BaltimorePolice Detective who had found her dead pronounced that she had actually been murdered. Priorto being found by the detective, two young boys, Christian Shipley and Jackie Poling, who werefishing nearby had witnessed Hamilton enter the woods with a strange-looking older man.Described as six-foot-five with a bushy mustache and blonde hair, the young boys were givingthe details they could remember in order for them to be witnesses of the crime. Little to the boys’knowledge, they would be the last two people to ever see Hamilton alive again. What the police witnessed when finding Dawn in the woods was a partially-naked younggirl, with her pants off and a stick inserted into her vagina. Raped, abused, and murdered. This resembles a Mr. Potato Head type of toy, giving a widevariety of different types of eyes, mouthes, noses, etc. “It’s a random, arbitrary box of eyes, ears, noses, faces, jawlines, hairlines, hair, mustaches, sideburns and so forth,” Bloodsworth said. From the variety of different face pieces, the boys couldn’t get an accurate mustache that suitedthe perpetrator whom they saw.
