Patrick Flynn Nutrition Dr. Knehans 5 th February, 2008 My Nutrition Log For twenty-four hours I wrote down everything that I ate, including how much, and a brief description of the food. Then I went online and calculated how much of each nutritional source I should be eating, according to the national health requirements on mypyramid.gov. Next, I compared the results, in order to find out what my diet was lacking and how I could fix that for the future, and possibly come out a healthier individual. This taught me a good amount about myself; and why I feel certain ways throughout the day after eating certain types of food. The Results The results of my nutritional log experiment came back pretty much as I had expected with a few minor surprises. I am a wrestler so I have to maintain a fairly healthy diet, and this showed as I had a very high protein intake, as well as fruit. However, I lacked vegetables completely on the day that I did the experiment, which is something that I have done often, as well as lacking in grain.
