Zach Garcia Honors 111 The Bible Bible This is a very interesting essay to write because not only is this the most influential book ever written but it is also one of the most controversial. I was worried that the discussion based on this book would be filled with people shouting over other people about religion and what is right. But I was surprised and relieved that instead of a shouting match we actually had an intelligent and thoughtful discussion about the stories as what they were, not bringing in the religion part of it too much. But looking at the books of Genesis and Exodus by themselves I thought that they were actually superbly written. As I stated in class, I thought that the first books of the Bible and the epic poem of The Iliad were very similar in what the main point of the stories were trying to accomplish. I believe that Homer was trying to tell the story of a very important event that occurred and the point of the book was to distribute the greatness of the story to a
