1. As ship's doctor, you are not only an employee of the cruise line, you are a friend and companion to your fellow crew mates. According to the Rights/Responsibilities Lens , you must not only consider what your duties are and how to exhibit care and concern for your patients, but also where your loyalties lie. When should duty and loyalty to a person play a part in making a decision? Have you ever had an experience where your duty and your loyalty clearly conflicted? 2. No one is really happy on the Shackleton right now. According to the Results Lens , an ethical action creates the greatest long-term happiness for the greatest number of people. How do you weigh an action that will be very good for one person, versus an action that will bring some amount of good to many people? Is there ever a situation where someone's long-term happiness is in conflict with their long-term good? Is there ever a time when your own happiness should ethically outweigh that of those around you?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
