Stealth is our archangel, but at a price; for we give our bodies at her disposal to be painted yellow. Even so, stealth will always give us commands to defend ourselves by biting when needed with the help from Gaia's fangs. My unconcealed camouflage turns me into a stiff snake; paralyzing our foes. My attitude is composed of honest calumniation., my blood as frosty as fire. Even being as we are, a life of an Elaphe was not left unseen, even under the shining darkness... These snakes are only found in Taiwan. Grows 6 feet in length; sometimes exceeds 8½ feet. An active, alert and shy snake. In container, likes to be provided with a large terrarium containing a hide-box and assorted visual barriers. Often very defensive and may injure their snouts by striking against the glass of their terrarium. They will bite. Wild caught snakes are also often heavily parasitized, dehydrated, emaciated and difficult to acclimate. The average lifespan of Elaphe is generally 15 years. Males live a little longer than females; some species may live up to 23 years. Usually reach sexual maturity after 18-24 months. Elaphe move forward using side-to-side serpentine movement.
