Fernandes 2 Lastly, I have a big problem with animals being showcased in zoos or circuses. This is so cruel to the animal in many ways. “From the welfare point of view it is wrong to keep an animal in a zoo if the animal has a less pleasant life than it would have outside the zoo.”(www.bbc.co.uk). Some people argue that animals in the zoo do not have the same quality of life as their counterparts who live in the wild. The setting of the zoo is not the same as their natural habitat. Having animals showcased to the public is morally wrong. All that is accomplished by showcasing animals is amusement for the public. Granted the animals are treated well in zoos, but why should they be taking out of their natural habitat for our entertainment? However the use of animals in circuses is even worse in my mind. “The use of animals to entertain human beings is wrong because it treats the animal as a means to achieve some human end, it
