The conquest of Constantinople motivated the Europeans to find a new route to Asia. -1607 Jamestown (the first settlement).-Africans first came to the settlement in 1619. Indentured servants (theres a contract between the slave owner and the slave.-Medina island-Channel slavery very well organized in which a system where the buyer and the seller went. Forces that Brought Europeans to the New World-1347: Black Plague Political, economic, social, religious disintegration. Church lost people because people stopped believing. Politically, it was a dynasty (political power in a kingdom where power goes from father to son). -After the black plague, there was a rebuilding of the state, and they made a centralization of government (political).
