Separation of duty policy and its key elementsThe article talks about the common perils of dynamic implementation of the separation ofduties strategies. The idea of Static separation of duties policy is also defined. It further gives theintroduction of the difficulty of dynamic safety checking problem (DSCP).The DSCP questionswhether a given SSoD rule has been satisfied by the access control state. The SoD policy is veryimportant security mechanism as it helps in preventing of scam and mistakes as far as computersecurity is concerned. This policy needs a set number of users performing different tasks to existso that it can grant all the permissions required to terminate such tasks (Lu et al., 2009). Thispolicy can be applied either dynamically or statically. The static application ensures the safety ofthe access control state in respect to the SoD policy and also, according to the tasks assigned. Onthe other hand, the static application shows all the approvals while performing the task and keepseach occasion of the task and the previous steps followed by a user to perform the task.
