Details for each host ID-based certificatecan be viewed in the NetBackup Administration Console or the NetBackup Web UI or by using the nbcertcmd command.Using the NetBackup Administration console to view host ID-based certificate details1.Login to theconsolesystem using the credentials below.?console.vrtsedu.labUserID: VRTSEDU\AdministratorPassword: [email protected]
2.Double-click theNetBackup 8.3 Administration Consoleshortcut located on the desktop oftheconsolesystem.3.In theNetBackup Administration Consolewindow that is displayed, login using the credentials below.Host Name:winmaster.vrtsedu.labUser Name: VRTSEDU\AdministratorPasseord: [email protected]4.You can also select theUse Active Directory login credentialsoption available on theNetBackupAdministration Consolewindow to login without entering a password.5.In theNetBackup Administration Console, navigate toSecurity Management > CertificateManagement.The certificate details are displayed in the right pane of the administration console.6.By default, 7 coulmns are displayed namelyCertificate state, Host, Host Type, Issued on, Valid From,Valid Until,andDays Remaining.7.Right-click anywhere in the pane and selectColumns >Layout.8.In the resulting menu, select the check box forNetBackup Host IDand clickOKto add theNetBackup HostIDcolumn.9.Scroll to the right until you find theNetBackup Host IDcolumn.TheNetBackup Host IDcolumn for a host displays that Host ID for the host.10.Minimize theNetBackup Administration Consolewindow to return to the desktop of theconsolesystem.
Viewing the host ID-based certificate details using the nbcertcmd command10.Double-click theCommand Promptshortcut located on the desktop of theconsolesystem tolaunchCommand Prompt.11.In theCommand Promptwindow that is displayed, enter the below command to display the Host-IDcertificate details.Command:nbcertcmd -listCertDetailsThenbcertcmd -listCertDetailscommand displays host-id based certificate details only for the localhost (where thecommand is executed). To view details about the host-id certificate for all hosts in a NetBackup domain, usetheNetBackup Administration Consoleor the NetBackup web user interface.
