Unformatted text preview: only 8.9 percent of children being serviced at local Head Start programs. For the families unable to afford a reasonable program for their children, more funding needs to be made available. Awareness of how few children are able to attend a decent early education program needs to be presented to the community. There needs to be an effort to help the children in our county to receive the proper foundation for their learning years. As a student, I want to be a voice for those who are in need of a good education.
