Repetition could come from certain phrases, passages, or plots. Aristotle in his Poeticsreveals certain aspects of these repetitions. Cold Mountainby Charles Frazier is anovel that is said to have mimesis. The mimesis is supposedly based off Homer’s Odyssey. Based off Aristotle’s Poeticsthere are several relations of imitation in Cold Mountain. Imitation is defined as something derived or copied from an original.
