The Fight To End All Fights! ENGL1100 Cyr 9/21/07 “What is your problem? I am not going to tell you again to get up, and help me finish cleaning the house,” I yelled as I shoved Tanya’s bedroom door open. I know she doesn’t think she is going to lay in bed all day while I clean up , I thought as I made my way to the kitchen. As I began washing dishes I heard Tanya’s door close and a sluggish figure move toward the den, where once out of sight she sprawled out on the couch to resume her sleep that I had so abruptly interrupted. I was finally putting the finishing touches on the kitchen when the silence from the den caught my attention . If I walk in there and she hasn’t done a thing I am going to blow a gasket. Sure enough as I turned the corner into the den, there laid her petite body on the couch sleeping. The closer I got to her the angrier I became. I jerked the closest pillow off the couch and began pounding her in the head with it. Needless to say it was on; this fight was going to get nasty. “Hey what was that for?” she spat at me as she sat up to look me dead in the eye. “Well, it might be the fact that I have already cleaned the entire kitchen, and your lazy butt hasn’t done a single thing” I said my eyes meeting hers as they pierced through me like I wasn’t even there. We stood there in that moment for what seemed like an eternity staring through each other with the coldness of a winter day. “I hate you “ echoed the words against the bare walls of the den as Tanya turned on her heels and proceeded to the utility room leaving me standing there reeling from the verbal blow that was just thrown my way. Two can play that game. “Well, I’m not exactly overflowing with love for you either,” slamming my bedroom door behind me.

A month earlier my stepdad and I moved to our new house in Brandon, Mississippi so that we could do some minor repairs to the house before the whole family moved in. Trying to make the move easier on everyone, my parents decided that my mother and Tanya would live in our old house in Ridgeland until Tanya finished fourth grade, so she could stay with her friends.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
